Work with others

Invite teammates, understand roles and share the right research material.

Use a project’s People page to invite someone by email or controlled link. Choose a role before sending. Project roles determine who can edit settings, add or organize papers, change writings, share notes and manage other members. If an action is unavailable, ask the project owner or an authorized member to check your role.

An invitation can be accepted, declined, resent or revoked. Links can be rotated or disabled. If an invitee needs to sign up, Distari returns them to the pending invitation after account creation, subject to the current invite-only signup policy.

Know what others can see

The workspace shows project members who are online and which mode, paper, writing or file they have open. It does not reveal the content of your private annotations. Members editing the same writing file see selections and named cursors. Changes in that file merge live; ordinary notes do not have live co-editing.

Notes are private to their author by default. An authorized author may share one with the project, making it readable by other members while keeping editing with the author. Keep research notes explains this boundary.

Keep the project under control

The People page also shows invitations, membership and recent paper or writing activity. Owners can transfer ownership through a confirmed flow. Projects can be archived and restored; archiving pauses editing while keeping the work available to authorized members.
