Track research progress
Use Overview to follow goals, reading and thin areas of your literature.
Open a project and go to Overview → Progress. This section brings goals, current paper counts and literature coverage into one place. The project overview also highlights overdue goals under Needs your attention.
Set goals
Choose a count of papers added, papers summarized or papers read by at least one active team member, or make a milestone checklist. Count goals need a positive target. Every goal can have an optional due date.
Counts use current, unarchived primary papers. A paper counts once even if several teammates marked it read. Skimmed does not count as Read. A checklist completes when it has at least one step and every step is checked. Members can view progress; changing goals requires project-edit permission.
Inspect coverage
Group papers by Topics, Subfields, Fields, Domains or Tags. An area shows how many papers you have and how many have been read by someone on the team. A paper can appear in several areas, so group totals do not have to equal the library total.
Thin coverage means an area has fewer than half as many papers as the largest area in that grouping, once the largest has at least three. It is a relative cue, not a quality score. Suggestions for an area may come from earlier Discover results; adding one follows the normal import and credit rules. If no cached suggestions fit, use Explore papers in this area to open Discover.
